BodyGuardz is one manufacturer that produces cases for smartphones that are also available in different designs and colours. They have become one of the first to release a customizable hard case for the iPhone 4S. Movement of buttons on the exterior of the new device mean cases cannot simplify be interchanged between the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S.
The manufacturer has applied for a patent for a new system of interchangeable plates in a product called mykase that fits across all the different angles of the new smartphone, Interlocking back and side as well as bottom pieces fit alongside a back plate. The base is available in matte black, white and yellow. The company says there will be more colours available in November with new designs and pictures coming on the market all the time.
It’s not just about style, mykase is said to hold the iPhone 4S with a strap, securing it within the case that prevents scratches and dents n and protect it from impact. Costing around $29.95 the cases can be pre ordered and will be shipped from mid-November.
For those looking less for protection for their iPhone 4S and more for bling, the most expensive case for the new device has gone on the market. Brikk has announced a new case priced at $100,000 and covered with over 600 diamonds. Not to be outdone, Crystal Rocked have released a 24 carat gold case, with a crystal bumper. The bumper is priced at $480. For those looking for an equally stylish but slightly cheaper option, another case comes encased in chrome.
While some might prefer their Apple devices unadorned, others want to turn them into the ultimate status symbol. It might not always be cheap, but where there is demand there will be a manufacturer coming up with even wackier and more eye-catching, as well as headline grabbing, ideas to make an iPhone 4S stand out.
